Zadie Smith / Penguin. Super flattered to have been asked to work on some Zadie Smith concepts for Darren Haggar/Penguin. These book jackets were, by most accounts, failures - I liked them though! I tend to think of books and words and literature as intimate, romantic objects, so I frequently prefer a gentler simplicity or delicacy in approach.
